Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Lancaster. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils who require additional help in the classroom, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and thriving in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
- Monitor and assess the progress of pupils, providing valuable feedback to aid their development.
- Offer accurate comments and reports on individual students' achievements to assist the classroom teacher.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
- The ability to inspire and motivate pupils, enabling them to make remarkable progress in their academic, social, and independent skills.
- Experience in handling challenging behaviours and creating a positive learning environment.
