As a Human Resources Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional HR support to the HR Manager, ensuring a top-tier HR service for our operations in the UK and Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer practical and proactive HR guidance throughout the region, collaborating with leaders to balance business requirements with compliance to employment laws.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of significant change initiatives, which may involve administrative duties, material creation, and effective communication.
  • Support employee relations by conducting investigations, documenting proceedings, and assisting HR Managers with related tasks.
  • Review and update the company handbook and policy documents to ensure compliance with current employment legislation.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives across the region, including administrative support, provider sourcing, and development plan creation.
  • Manage long-term absenteeism cases, including occupational health referrals, meeting support, and comprehensive case logging.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, from onboarding and job description creation to candidate sourcing and interview coordination.
  • Assist the HR team with the HR calendar, including salary reviews, benchmark data collection, bonus administration, and performance appraisal processes.
  • Handle all aspects of employee onboarding and system changes, including data entry, personal detail updates, and administration of leavers.
  • Support client groups in the implementation of HR initiatives such as performance reviews, employee engagement surveys, and talent management programs.
  • Contribute to due diligence, bidding, and tender processes, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
  • Assist the HR Manager with any necessary reorganization or redundancy processes.
  • Oversee the management of the business awards program.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including benefits providers and recruitment agencies.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employees regarding their employment lifecycle inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • CIPD Qualified to Level 3 or higher.
  • Experience as an HR generalist at a coordinator level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable utilizing databases and ERP systems.
  • Adaptable approach to various tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing Employee Relations.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to the Oil & Energy/Subsea industry.
  • Experience with TUPE transfers.
  • Background in training and competence development.
