Spinal Surgery Unit Administrator

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Spinal team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the team, including typing clinic letters, booking patient appointments, and managing electronic referrals.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Spinal team, including typing clinic letters and managing electronic referrals.
- Book patient appointments and manage waiting lists in accordance with the Trust's guidelines and the 18-week pathway.
- Deal with incoming telephone enquiries and written queries promptly and efficiently.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained at all times.
- Undertake scanning and filing of correspondence, clinic notes, and test results using Note On.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer care environment and be proficient in using Microsoft Office and other administrative software.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. They will also have experience of working with patient administration systems and be able to manage waiting lists and patient pathways.
