Orthopaedic Surgeon in Hip and Knee Unit

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trust Doctor to join our team in the Hip and Knee Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and complex limb reconstruction.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the day-to-day care of patients on the wards, outpatient clinics, and theatres. This will include managing in-patients and out-patients, supporting junior members of the team, and assisting in theatre. You will also be expected to participate in research and provide evidence of a peer-reviewed clinical publication or international presentation at the end of your attachment.

Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with at least 6 months of elective orthopaedic experience, completion of core surgical training or equivalent, and a strong interest in hip and knee arthroplasty surgery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and facilitation skills, a good level of computer literacy, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
