We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Spinal Unit, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Spinal Unit, including typing clinic letters and other clinical correspondence.
- Book patient appointments and manage patient pathways using our electronic referral system.
- Oversee the outcomes of clinics, ensuring that patients' attendance, imaging requests, and therapy requests are actioned by the clinical team.
- Deal with incoming telephone enquiries and written queries promptly and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with other medical secretaries and administrators to ensure a high-quality service is maintained.
- Undertake scanning and filing of correspondence, clinic notes, and test results using our electronic patient record system.
We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:
- GCSE level or equivalent in English and mathematics.
- Literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience of working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient administration systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize tasks.
