Canon UK is seeking a dedicated Strategic Finance Partner to collaborate closely with the assigned Business Unit Head or Channel Director. Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to enhance the financial performance of the relevant business unit or channel
  • Ensure accurate financial treatment and recording of revenues and expenses for the designated business area, driving continuous improvements in the month-end process for timely submissions
  • Deliver precise and timely reporting and analysis to assist the relevant Business Unit Head or Channel Director in understanding current business performance
  • Coordinate the preparation of bi-annual budgets and monthly sales forecasts for the assigned business area
  • Recommend actions to enhance profitability and monitor their implementation
  • Conduct scenario analysis and modeling to support informed decision-making
  • Ensure adherence to Canon's accounting policies, facilitate the audit process, and promote the ongoing development of SOX controls
  • Act as a deputy for the Business Unit Controller as needed
  • Possess a Part Qualified Accountant designation (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Exhibit advanced Excel modeling capabilities
  • Experience with various IT systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase is advantageous
  • Demonstrated success in a Commercial Finance or business partnering role
  • Adopt a proactive and collaborative approach

This position entails a commitment of 37.5 hours per week over five days. The role is primarily office-based, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week. Job sharing arrangements may also be considered.
