Canon UK is seeking a dedicated Strategic Finance Partner who will collaborate closely with their designated Business Unit Head or Channel Director. This role is pivotal in supporting the execution of business strategies by delivering financial insights, advice, and analysis on overall business performance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to enhance the financial performance of the relevant Business Unit or Channel
  • Ensure accurate financial treatment and recording of revenues and expenses for the assigned business segment. Drive ongoing improvements in the month-end closing process for timely submissions
  • Generate precise and timely reports and analyses to assist the Business Unit Head or Channel Director in understanding current performance metrics
  • Coordinate the preparation of bi-annual budgets and monthly sales forecasts for the designated business area
  • Recommend strategies to enhance profitability and monitor their implementation
  • Conduct scenario analyses and modeling to support informed decision-making
  • Ensure adherence to Canon's accounting policies, facilitate the audit process, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of SOX controls
  • Act as a deputy for the Business Unit Controller as needed
  • Possess a Part Qualified Accountant status (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Exhibit advanced Excel modeling capabilities
  • Experience with various IT systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase is advantageous
  • Demonstrated success in a Commercial Finance or business partnering role
  • Maintain a proactive and collaborative approach

This position entails a commitment of 37.5 hours per week across five days. The role is primarily office-based, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week. Job sharing arrangements may also be considered.
