Canon UK is in search of a dedicated Strategic Finance Partner who will collaborate closely with their designated Business Unit Head or Channel Director. This role is pivotal in facilitating the execution of business strategies by offering financial guidance, analysis, and insights into operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to enhance the financial performance of the assigned Business Unit or Channel
  • Ensure accurate financial treatment and recording of revenues and expenses for the designated business area. Drive ongoing improvements in the month-end closing process to ensure timely submissions
  • Generate precise and timely reports and analyses to assist the relevant Business Unit Head or Channel Director in understanding current performance
  • Coordinate the preparation of bi-annual budgets and monthly sales forecasts for the assigned business area
  • Recommend strategies to enhance profitability and monitor their implementation
  • Conduct scenario analyses and modeling to support informed decision-making
  • Ensure adherence to Canon's accounting policies, assist in the audit process, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of SOX controls
  • Act as a deputy for the Business Unit Controller as needed
  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) is preferred
  • Proficient in advanced Excel modeling
  • Familiarity with various IT systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase is advantageous
  • Previous experience in a Commercial Finance or business partnering role with a proven track record of success
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset

This position entails a commitment of 37.5 hours per week across five days. The role is primarily office-based, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week. Job sharing arrangements may also be considered.
