About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our Risk and Compliance Team at Stone King. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance with data protection legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the firm's data protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the UK GDPR and other applicable data protection legislation.
  • Conduct regular data protection audits to identify and address any deficiencies in the firm's data protection systems and processes.
  • Manage and oversee the firm's data protection systems and processes, including data subject access requests and data breaches.
  • Develop and implement data protection impact assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks to the firm's data protection practices.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on data protection matters, including data protection policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and manage data breaches and other data protection incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a data protection role, preferably in a legal or financial services firm.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection legislation and regulations, including the UK GDPR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • IT literate, with experience of data protection software and systems.
