Job Description

  • Act as point of contact with regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor data management procedures and ensure they comply with data protection laws.
  • Provide advice and instructions to staff about data protection.
  • Ensure data protection policies are in place and updated as required.
  • Provide data protection awareness training to staff members.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues proactively.
  • Manage and draft data protection impact assessments.
  • Manage data protection projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure data protection compliance.

Requirements

  • A successful Data Protection Specialist should have:
  • An academic background in law, IT or related field.
  • Proven experience in a data protection role within the legal industry.
  • Expert knowledge of data protection laws.
  • Sound understanding of IT and data management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
