About the Role

This is a key position within our Development Team, responsible for driving the maturity of our Business Intelligence function. The successful candidate will lead the efficient and reliable flow of data within the organisation, owning the design, development, and management of systems for collecting, storing, and analysing large volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines to collect, store, and analyse large volumes of data.
  • Optimise databases and implement ETL processes to ensure data quality and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and business intelligence.

Requirements:

  • University degree or relevant experience in industry.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure services.
  • Expertise in Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse, as well as the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Solid understanding of Kimball principles.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
