Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client's business on a part-time, permanent basis. This role will be worked over 4 days a week, amounting to 28 hours, and will be based in their offices or on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bank accounts for the group's businesses
  • Run and manage payroll
  • Prepare VAT and Corporation returns
  • Prepare and process group payment runs
  • Handle purchase/sales invoices from external clients
  • Prepare year-end accounts for auditing
  • Work alongside external accountants to ensure all liability is met for the group
  • Liaise with HMRC for all businesses
  • Implement and manage a new finance system to streamline the group's financial data
  • Issue weekly cash position reports

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous accounts experience in a similar role. They will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team.
