Financial Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at a well-established manufacturing company based in Sevenoaks. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with over 2 years of commercial experience in a similar role, who is looking to further their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Process invoices: Accurately input and process purchase and sales invoices
- Bank reconciliations: Regularly perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Credit control: Assist in monitoring outstanding payments and liaising with customers to ensure timely payment
- Accounts payable/receivable: Maintain and manage supplier and customer accounts
- VAT returns: Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assisting with payroll: Provide support in payroll processing as required
- Supporting month-end processes: Assist in closing accounts, preparing financial statements, and producing reports
- General administration: Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of financial documents
- Liaising with external auditors: Support in preparing documentation for external audits
- Ad hoc finance duties: Provide additional support to the finance team as required.
- Minimum of 2 years' commercial experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Proficient in using sage 50 accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with bank reconciliations, invoicing, and VAT returns
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
