Job Summary:

The Sales Training Manager is a critical role within Wolters Kluwer Holdings (UK) plc, responsible for driving effective instructional design and execution of the training curriculum and onboarding process for all sales employees in the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales leaders to increase key performance indicators (KPIs) at the individual and team level, including deal velocity, close ratio, and productivity metrics.
  • Engage with all levels of sales leaders as the key liaison for all ongoing Learning & Enablement needs, including new hire, continuing education, leader development, and more.
  • Proactively partner with sales leaders and other sales support functions to identify potential gaps and facilitate ongoing assessments, prioritize performance issues, and high-priority initiatives or process improvement ideas for the assigned sales business.
  • Map out quarterly and annual plans to deliver creative interventions that enable sales performance.
  • Collaborate with an instructional designer to identify innovative solutions and execution plans for various blended learning programs, including live and virtual instructor-led training, sales and product certifications, online learning, and more.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in the learning and sales enablement space, pursuing professional development through relevant webinars, thought leadership, and professional networks.
  • Provide baseline and ongoing measurement of key performance indicators impacted by learning & enablement programs.
  • Monitor ongoing program effectiveness based on defined KPIs and identify replicable program best practices.
  • Facilitate and deliver live and virtual training sessions/workshops as needed to address the teaching of new skills, abilities, technology, or process, and the enhancement of employees' professional knowledge.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops to sales and deliver the appropriate modification, 1:1 coaching, and reinforcement as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Masters' degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years' experience working in or supporting sales organizations, with a broad-based and business-oriented understanding of sales issues.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) proficiency.
  • Experience working in a CRM preferred, and proficiency in reporting preferred.
  • Proven track record in performance improvement initiatives.

  • Familiarity with or certification in a needs-based/consultative selling methodology.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of employees and management.
  • Self-starter that takes initiative, seeks out, and has the ability to drive change through persuasion and leadership.

  • Strong understanding of the business and the industry, with a proven track record of providing direct guidance and coaching to organizational stakeholders.

  • Ability to be agile and adapt to a changing environment.
