About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our team at Charity People Ltd. As a key player in securing philanthropic gifts, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our charity's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and charitable foundations to secure gifts for paediatric medical research and other areas of the charity's work.
  • Design and implement effective fundraising initiatives and campaigns to meet fundraising targets.
  • Work closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager to develop and implement the charity's fundraising strategy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and stewardship to donors and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of the charity's annual fundraising plan and budget.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of philanthropy fundraising or an equivalent field with a track record of initiating new high-value relationships and managing long-term donor/client relationships.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written skills with great attention to detail, and an ability to digest complex programmes of research, flexing your style according to the audience.
  • Ability to understand philanthropy within the healthcare and/or a medical research setting.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will have a proven track record of success in fundraising and a passion for making a difference in the lives of seriously ill children. You will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
