Birkbeck College seeks a dedicated Philanthropy Fundraiser to contribute to its ambitious fundraising goals.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Development and Alumni Team during a pivotal period in the College's history. You will play a key part in securing philanthropic support for Birkbeck's future ambitions, enhancing the student experience, and contributing to the success of its 200th anniversary commemorations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a diverse portfolio of individual donors, corporations, and foundations.
  • Develop compelling proposals to secure unrestricted philanthropic gifts, focusing on five to six-figure contributions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Development Manager and the wider fundraising team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Leverage your expertise in Raisers Edge to effectively manage donor information and track progress.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in fundraising or client relationship management. You will possess:

  • Demonstrable success in achieving financial targets and securing significant philanthropic gifts.
  • A strong understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to Birkbeck's mission.
