Position Overview
As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and operational elements of a diverse range of suppliers. Joining one of our dynamic and growing Commercial Teams, you will have the chance to engage in various projects with values ranging from £25k to £200M.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial management of a selection of suppliers operating under a SoR-based contract.
  • Provide guidance to project stakeholders on commercial-related matters.
  • Support senior team members during monthly commercial discussions.
  • Calculate and communicate the monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) to the business finance partner.
  • Assist in resolving disputes effectively.
  • Support the management of contractual claims.
  • Oversee the evaluation and certification of monthly Applications for Payments (AFP).
  • Handle subcontractor payments using SAP & Salesforce.
Location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement based within the Thames Water area, with the base location determined by your proximity to the nearest Thames Water site.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in Quantity Surveying within a commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with Commercial Administration or Quantity Surveying in the construction industry is advantageous.
  • Previous experience interacting with suppliers and contractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels.
  • Attention to detail and good numerical skills.
  • Excellent written communication abilities.
  • A driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
