Position Overview
As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will take charge of the commercial and operational dimensions of a selection of suppliers. Joining one of our dynamic and growing Commercial Teams, you will have the chance to engage in diverse projects with values ranging from £25k to £200M.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial aspects of a portfolio of suppliers operating under a SoR-based contract.
  • Provide guidance to project stakeholders on commercial-related matters.
  • Support senior personnel during monthly commercial discussions.
  • Calculate and communicate the monthly VOWD status to the business finance partner.
  • Assist in the resolution of disputes.
  • Support the management of contractual claims.
  • Oversee the assessment and certification of monthly Applications for Payments (AFP).
  • Process subcontractor payments using SAP & Salesforce.
Location
This is a hybrid role, with the base location determined by your proximity to the nearest Thames Water site.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in Quantity Surveying within a commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with Commercial Administration or QS in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Prior experience interacting with suppliers and contractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Excellent written communication abilities.
  • A driving license is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Competitive salary range of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
  • 24 days of annual leave, increasing to 28 with tenure (plus bank holidays).
