Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Team Lead to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management and Supervision: Provide strong clinical leadership to support and inspire colleagues, improve standards and quality, and develop professional practice.
  • Team Leadership: Act as Team Leader within the nursing framework and work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure all staff development needs are maintained.
  • Financial Management: Manage the ward's current budgets and ensure that all members of the ward team take into account the financial constraints imposed upon the ward.
  • Quality and Standards: Responsible for infection control, including audits, best practice, and use of protocols within the ward environment.
  • Complaints Handling: Handle complaints from patients, members of the public, and staff in accordance with the Trust's Policies and Procedures.
  • Policy and Practice Changes: Implement policies and propose changes to practice and procedure for own area.
  • Clinical Governance: Play a key role in clinical governance by providing expert advice, working to secure quality improvements, and liaising with and influencing other disciplines.
  • Professional Development: Maintain high standards of communication and collaboration with the multi-professional network and ensure all nursing records and documentation are completed accurately and legibly.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience: Significant experience in a clinical leadership role, preferably within a mental health or older adult setting.
  • Skills: Strong clinical leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
