As the Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the clinical practitioners and support staff within our urgent care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide robust leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective services.
- Oversee the performance of the clinical team, offering clinical supervision and driving service enhancements.
- Collaborate with senior management to uphold the overall safety and effectiveness of the service.
- Work alongside the Service Manager and Group Director of Nursing and Quality to manage daily clinical operations and meet performance targets.
- Establish and implement performance management and escalation protocols.
- Take charge of Clinical Governance, including incident management, feedback, and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to quality performance reports in partnership with management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the management team.
- Assess staffing needs and collaborate with recruitment teams to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure comprehensive training and support for clinical staff, adhering to mandatory training requirements.
- Lead investigations related to complaints and incidents, following organizational policies.
- Foster a culture of communication and engagement within the team.
- Participate in staff feedback initiatives and support the development of action plans.
- Provide visible leadership and direction to clinical staff, ensuring accountability for quality and performance.
- Directly manage non-medical clinicians, promoting a supportive environment.
- Address health and wellbeing concerns of clinical staff effectively.
- Offer coaching and mentoring to staff as necessary.
- Document performance feedback and development plans for direct reports.
- Identify and manage performance issues in accordance with HR policies.
- Contribute insights to management regarding service opportunities and challenges.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and showcase best practices.
- Analyze performance data to identify areas for enhancement.
- Develop succession plans for non-medical clinical staff to ensure continuity.
You may be required to undertake further responsibilities, such as leading health and safety initiatives and infection control measures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Allied Health Professional with current registration.
