Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team as a Clinical Lead for Surgical Ward. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the nursing team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Assume responsibility for the surgical ward and provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
  • Lead and develop the nursing team in the care of surgical patients and assist in the development of clinical competencies.
  • Provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to both patients and their relatives within King's College Hospital.
  • Act as a clinical resource within the ward and across the Care Group as necessary.
  • Be an effective clinical leader and role model with good delegation and supervisory abilities.
  • Be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide patients and relatives with high-quality nursing care.
  • Undertake managerial responsibilities ensuring staff management is safe, effective, and within the assigned budget.
  • Strong involvement in recruitment and retention programmes.
  • Work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and ward triumvirate to enhance patient care and experience.
