Job Summary

The Surgical Ward 3 at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and inspirational nurse to lead the team as a Ward Manager. Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Manage and develop the nursing team, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the ward's quality improvement plan.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • UK NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
  • Extensive experience at a band 6/7 level
  • Experience with change management
  • An understanding of clinical governance issues
  • Awareness and understanding of current health issues
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise relevant to the surgical specialty
  • An understanding of HR processes and issues pertaining to staff management
