About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our team as a Surgical Ward Leader at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Care Group, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Lead and manage the ward team, ensuring effective communication, delegation, and supervision.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and services.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide education and training to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs, ensuring staff are equipped to meet the needs of patients and families.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement projects, contributing to the development of evidence-based practice and improving patient outcomes.
