The Marketing department's primary objective is to cultivate robust, appealing brands that resonate with consumers. The Lead Brand Strategist will be tasked with formulating and implementing exemplary brand strategies that elevate brand visibility, enhance brand value, and stimulate business expansion. The focus of this role is to nurture and safeguard the brand(s) while increasing market share within the Barr Soft Drinks portfolio.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of consumer behavior, exceptional project management capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This position is highly commercial, with success gauged by brand financial performance alongside consumer and market metrics.

As a Lead Brand Strategist, your duties will include:

  • Formulating and executing both short-term and long-term brand strategies that align with the vision and objectives of Barr Soft Drinks.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to implement brand initiatives across various channels, including digital, social media, traditional advertising, and retail.
  • Conducting market analysis and interpreting consumer insights to guide brand strategy and positioning.
  • Collaborating with Commercial, Innovation, R&D, and Shopper teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms and maximize impact/ROI.
  • Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of brand activities, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business goals.
  • Overseeing external agencies and suppliers to guarantee top-tier deliverables and timely execution of brand initiatives.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members to cultivate a high-performing brand and marketing team.
  • Partnering with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities to uncover opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Managing the brand's budget, ensuring effective resource allocation to support brand initiatives.

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in brand management or a consumer-facing role, with a proven history of developing and executing successful brand strategies.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Robust analytical skills and experience utilizing data to inform decision-making.
  • A creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and devise engaging branding initiatives.
  • A passion for the brand and the industry, coupled with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and trends.
