Role Purpose

As a Training Operations Specialist, you will oversee the training initiatives, including the onboarding of new hires and continuous development for current staff. You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive training records and collaborating with various teams, including operations, recruitment, administration, and planning, to fulfill training and operational needs. During quieter periods, you may also assist the team with operational tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to the Menzies Training and Development Policy and following the established procedures outlined in our corporate training matrix AGOM.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the responsibilities of any line trainers or OSD within the operations division.
  • Conducting orientation courses for new TCOs.
  • Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality training consistently, while coordinating all training activities within the Operations department.
  • Assisting in the creation of new training materials as needed, in response to airline requirements or updated operational procedures.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • PTTLS preliminary training qualification or equivalent.
  • Extensive operational experience and advanced qualifications in all operational areas.
  • Familiarity with other aspects of ground handling is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A train-the-trainer qualification is essential.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, capable of engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative without supervision.
