Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Demand Forecast Manager to lead and develop our global energy proposal team. This role involves developing, approving, and finalizing large, complex proposals, as well as establishing and enhancing processes and standards to meet organizational objectives in proposal activities.

The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and review of proposals, direct proposal preparation, obtain approvals from business development management, and coordinate proposal activities with other functional services and global business units throughout Bechtel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop the Proposal Team: Lead and develop members of the proposal team globally, providing supervision and guidance to ensure successful proposal outcomes.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel between Houston and London to provide supervision to team members in both offices, collaborating with global managers and project managers to gather information required for proposals.
  • Proposal Process Improvement: Implement and improve core proposal process, collaborating with business development managers to develop proposal, presentation, and teaming strategies.
  • Proposal Content Creation: Assemble proposal and presentation resources, coordinating with business development managers and functional managers for technical support, creating proposal and presentation content that promotes Bechtel's competitive advantages.
  • Proposal Budgeting and Scheduling: Prepare proposal budget and schedules, track progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Proposal Meetings and Training: Conduct kickoff meetings and other proposal process meetings, reviewing all proposal and presentation material, offering training and guidance as required.
Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Thorough knowledge of Bechtel directives and management instructions related to proposal formulation and submittal, experience in the development of qualification documents, contracts, proposals, and client presentations, and skill in oral and written communication, including the ability to coordinate information to reach a final document.
