Global Broking Centre in London: This role is situated within the Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London, a crucial component of Aon's global broking strategy. The GBC grants colleagues across the Aon network access to specialized brokers and client managers, tailored client solutions, and significant global insurance capacity. The GBC collaborates with network colleagues to deliver leading solutions to Aon clients, creating a competitive edge in our placement strategies worldwide.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Managing client relationships and broking for a global portfolio, handling both renewals and new business, from presenting effective market strategies to clients and prospects to coordinating placement slips with our support team.
  • Leading impactful renewal strategy meetings and conducting London market insurer presentations that demonstrate exceptional care to achieve market outperformance for our clients.
  • Reviewing client risks, preparing underwriting presentations, and assessing insurance documentation produced by our support team.
  • Actively contributing to portfolio growth, developing new relationships, pitching to clients, and leading successful tenders.
  • Cultivating market relationships and developing new ones to support the Natural Resources broking strategy.
  • Collaborating closely with Natural Resources clients to ensure adherence to global best practices.
  • Opportunities for travel, including prospecting and representing Aon at conferences.

Qualifications and skills that will lead to success:
  • 5+ years of experience in the London market broking renewables, construction, power, energy, mining, or property.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in managing complex programmes.
  • Strong relationships with lead/decision-maker underwriters in renewables, energy, and property.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to effectively pursue target prospects.
  • Masterful relationship-building abilities.
  • Outstanding presentation skills with the capacity to clearly convey complex information in writing.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficient IT skills across Microsoft Office for data collection, analysis, and presentation preparation.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance and FCA regulations.
