My client is in search of a supervisor for their Exeter Branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Our Branch Supervisors are proactive leaders who exemplify best practices and collaborate closely with the Branch Manager in daily operations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support to both new and existing clientele.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service, operational excellence, and achievement of branch sales objectives.
  • Aid in reaching sales goals while fostering and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Assist in the execution of branch operations.
  • Provide support and guidance to branch colleagues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to ensure timely completion of tasks and activities.
  • Guarantee compliance with Health and Safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct stocktakes and audits.
  • Maintain records for branch vehicles.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the branch, including front of house, warehousing, and merchanting areas.

Candidate Profile:
  • Enthusiasm and drive to provide exceptional customer service and meet business objectives.
  • A hands-on, customer-centric approach, confident in engaging with customers and potential clients.
  • A commercial mindset to boost sales and optimize margins while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate initiative.
  • Proficient in IT, with experience in MS Office and industry-standard software such as SAP.
  • A valid driving license is essential; a Forklift Truck (FLT) license is advantageous.
  • Capability to step in for the Branch Manager when necessary.
  • Previous experience in branch stocktaking is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a small team and independently when required.
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing, or uPVC environment, is preferred.
