Role Summary:

We are in search of a supervisor for our Exeter Branch. The ideal candidate will possess experience in retail, trades, or construction, emphasizing customer support, communication, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage in branch operations alongside the Branch Manager.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both new and existing clients.
  • Ensure operational excellence and achievement of branch sales targets.
  • Foster positive customer relationships while supporting sales goals.
  • Assist in managing branch operations effectively.
  • Provide support to branch colleagues as needed.
  • Help the Branch Manager ensure timely completion of team tasks and activities.
  • Maintain compliance with Health and Safety regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Conduct stocktakes and audits as required.
  • Keep maintenance records for branch vehicles.
  • Oversee branch cleanliness and organization in front of house, warehousing, and merchanting areas.

Candidate Profile:
- A strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business objectives.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach, with confidence in engaging with customers and potential clients.
- A commercial mindset to drive sales and maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Proficient in IT, with experience in MS Office and industry-standard software.
- A valid driving license is essential; a Forklift Truck (FLT) license is advantageous.
- Capability to step in for the Branch Manager when necessary.
- Previous experience in branch stocktaking is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a small team and independently when required.
- Experience in a similar role within a trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing, or uPVC environment is preferred.
