Role Summary:

We are currently in search of a supervisor for our Exeter Branch. The ideal candidate will possess experience in retail, trades, or construction, with a strong emphasis on customer support, communication, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and work closely with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both new and existing clients.
  • Ensure operational excellence and achievement of branch sales targets.
  • Foster positive customer relationships while supporting sales objectives.
  • Assist in managing branch operations effectively.
  • Provide necessary support to branch colleagues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to ensure timely completion of team tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Conduct stocktakes and audits as required.
  • Maintain records for branch vehicles and oversee housekeeping duties.

Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business goals.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach, with confidence in engaging with customers.
  • A commercial mindset to drive sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT, including MS Office and industry-standard software.
  • A valid driving license; a FLT license is a plus.
  • The capability to step in for the Branch Manager when necessary.
  • Experience in stocktaking within a branch environment is advantageous.
  • Comfort in working both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing, or uPVC setting is preferred.
