Position Overview: Due to substantial expansion within the organization, there is an immediate need for a highly qualified Principal Acoustic Consultant to become part of a well-regarded independent multidisciplinary consultancy that excels in Planning, Regeneration, and Environmental Consultancy. The acoustic department is a vital component of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess extensive experience in a comparable position with a robust background in various aspects of acoustics, noise, and vibration, particularly focusing on environmental acoustics.
  • Drive and cultivate new business opportunities while providing technical and project leadership.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project outputs while managing project teams effectively.
  • Oversee project management duties, including budgeting, client proposal submissions, scheduling, and report generation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors to enhance the acoustics sector within the organization.
  • Offer expert guidance during inquiries and planning appeals.

Project Involvement: The successful candidate will engage with a diverse client portfolio, undertaking a variety of public and private sector projects both domestically and internationally. Responsibilities will encompass all facets of acoustic consultancy, including:

  • Waste management
  • Open cast mining
  • Energy from waste facilities
  • Transportation projects (road, rail, and air)
  • Architectural and sound insulation assessments
