Overview: Due to significant expansion within the organization, there is an urgent need for a highly qualified Principal Acoustic Consultant to become part of a well-respected independent multidisciplinary consultancy that specializes in Planning, Regeneration, and Environmental Consultancy. The acoustic department is a vital component of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess extensive experience in a comparable position with a robust background in various aspects of acoustics, noise, and vibration, particularly focusing on environmental acoustics.
- Secure and cultivate new business opportunities while providing technical and project leadership.
- Ensure timely delivery of project outputs while demonstrating effective project and personnel management skills.
- Oversee project management tasks, including budgeting, client proposal submissions, scheduling, and report generation.
- Manage project teams to guarantee the timely production of deliverables.
- Lead project execution and take charge of the support team, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and personal development planning.
- Offer expert guidance in inquiries and planning appeals.
Project Portfolio: The successful candidate will engage with a diverse client portfolio, working on numerous public and private sector initiatives across various regions. The role encompasses all facets of acoustic consultancy, including statutory nuisance, waste management, open cast mining, energy from waste facilities, transportation (road, rail, and air), as well as architectural and sound insulation assessments.
