Position Overview: Due to substantial expansion within the organization, there is an immediate need for a highly qualified Principal Acoustic Consultant to become part of a well-regarded independent multidisciplinary consultancy that excels in Planning, Regeneration, and Environmental Consultancy. The acoustic department is a vital component of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate extensive experience in a comparable position with a robust background in various aspects of acoustics, noise, and vibration, particularly focusing on environmental acoustics.
  • Drive the acquisition and development of new business opportunities while providing technical and project leadership.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project outputs in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Exhibit a proven ability in effective project and personnel management.
  • Oversee project management duties for initiatives of varying scales, including budgeting, client proposal submissions, scheduling, and report generation.
  • Foster and secure new business relationships, negotiating with clients and contractors to enhance existing partnerships and cultivate new opportunities within the acoustic sector.
  • Lead project teams to guarantee the timely production of deliverables.
  • Provide expert technical guidance, spearhead project execution, and manage the support team, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and personal development planning.
  • Offer specialized advice during inquiries and planning appeals.

Project Portfolio:

The successful candidate will engage with a diverse client portfolio, working on various public and private sector projects both domestically and internationally. The role encompasses all facets of acoustic consultancy, including:

  • Waste management
  • Open cast mining
  • Energy from waste facilities
  • Transportation projects (road, rail, and air)
  • Architectural and sound insulation assessments
