Overview

We are experiencing significant growth and are seeking a highly qualified Principal Acoustic Consultant to join a reputable independent multidisciplinary consultancy. This firm specializes in Planning, Regeneration, and Environmental Consultancy, boasting a robust acoustic department that plays a crucial role within the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in acoustics, noise, or vibration.

Experience

  1. Extensive experience in acoustic consultancy at a Principal level.
  2. Demonstrated success in project and personnel management.
  3. Proven ability in business development.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Environmental Acoustics.
  5. Experience as a Project Manager, including budgeting, proposal submissions, scheduling, and report writing.
  6. Capability to mentor and enhance the technical skills of a team through effective leadership.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee project management for various sized projects.
  2. Develop and secure new business opportunities, negotiating with clients and contractors to strengthen existing relationships and establish new ones in the acoustic sector.
  3. Manage project teams to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
  4. Respond to inquiries and communicate with clients to understand their requirements, drafting fee proposals accordingly.
  5. Provide technical guidance and leadership.
  6. Lead project delivery, overseeing the support team and managing recruitment, performance evaluations, and personal development plans.
  7. Offer expert advice on inquiries and planning appeals.
