About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Orthopaedic Scrub Team Leader to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills, with extensive experience in their respective fields. As a key member of the theatre coordinating team, you will be responsible for overseeing the theatre department in the absence of the theatre manager and have the ability to motivate, support, and develop staff within our department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Direct line management responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of elective perioperative care programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Forward thinking, excellent communication skills, and team working qualities.
  • Experience of leading, motivating, and supporting a team, with evidence of department management.

What We Offer

As a Band 6 Theatre Team Leader, you will have opportunities to work across sites, including the Nightingale Building (Halton Hospital Site) and Warrington Hospital, to support Children's Surgery and patients who require enhanced clinical support.

Contracted full-time hours for the CSTM department are Monday to Friday, with opportunities for part-time hours. Please see the job description and person specification attached for further information on the role.
