About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Orthopaedic Scrub Team Leader to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our theatre coordinating team, you will be responsible for overseeing the theatre department in the absence of the theatre manager and have the ability to motivate, support and develop staff within our department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Direct line management responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of elective perioperative care programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice and have a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Forward thinking, excellent communication skills and team working qualities.
  • Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team, managing resources, delegating workload and monitoring progress.
  • Experience of Change Management Strategy.

Working Arrangements

Contracted full time hours for CSTM department are Monday-Friday. Scrub and Anaesthetic: 3 x shifts, 1 x shift. Recovery: 1 x shift, 2 x shifts, 1 x shift. Part time hours will normally be (depending on the contracted hours).
