Theatre Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Orthopaedic Scrub Team Leader to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the theatre department in the absence of the theatre manager and have the ability to motivate, support and develop staff within our department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Direct line management responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of elective perioperative care programs.
- Ability to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice and have a passion for teaching and mentoring.
- Forward thinking, excellent communication skills and team working qualities.
- Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team, managing resources, delegating workload and monitoring progress.
- Experience of Change Management Strategy.

- Contracted full time hours for CSTM department are Monday-Friday.
- Part time hours will normally be (depending on the contracted hours).
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years post registration experience.
- Evidence of department management.
- Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team.
- Experience of managing resources.
- Experience of delegating workload and monitoring progress.
- Experience of Change Management Strategy.
The successful candidate will also have:
- HCPC ODP Registration or NMC Registration.
- Perioperative Post Registration Education; recent Personal & Professional Development.
- Surgical Scrub and Circulating accredited course.
- Preceptor/Mentor or Clinical Assessors Course.
We welcome applications from experienced practitioners (NMC/ HCPC registered) with extensive theatre expertise who are currently either working in a Band 6 role or are a Band 5 wishing to progress into a team leader role.
