Damp and Disrepair Surveyor

Permanent Position

37 Hours per Week

Salary Range: £36,945 - £38,745 (pending pay award)

Salary includes a £3000 annual market supplement, subject to review

We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our Housing Maintenance and Asset Management Team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Council with the upkeep of our housing portfolio and other assets, specifically addressing issues related to dampness and disrepair claims.

This newly established role is vital for ensuring that we uphold high standards in our properties, promptly addressing concerns, and delivering a professional, efficient, and effective service to our tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing requirements and overseeing the completion of repairs and maintenance related to damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair cases.
  • Conducting general property surveys, creating schedules of dilapidation, and developing project briefs.
  • Preparing specifications, Bills of Quantities, and drawings for project execution.
  • Effectively managing relevant contracts.
  • Collaborating with tenants to provide exceptional care and customer service.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in delivering effective solutions for damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair issues.
  • Experience in a social housing or relevant sector.
  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
