Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

Galliford Try is seeking a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in a commercial administration role. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with your manager to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Administration: Assist in the preparation and management of commercial documents, including contracts, invoices, and payment applications.
  • Cost and Value Reporting: Utilize Oracle software to create accurate and timely cost and value reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Expenditure Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate expenditure reports to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Subcontract Procurement: Assist in the procurement of subcontract partners, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Subcontract Documentation: Prepare and manage subcontract documentation, including contracts, invoices, and payment applications.
  • Value Maximization: Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities to maximize value and profit.
  • Change Management: Assist in the administration of subcontract works packages, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Payment Applications: Assist in the preparation and submission of payment applications, ensuring timely payment to subcontractors.
  • Site Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including records of subcontractor performance and payment.
  • Cost-to-Complete: Calculate and report on the cost-to-complete for projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

About You:

  • Commercial Experience: Proven experience in commercial administration, including contract management and cost control.
  • Oracle Software: Proficiency in Oracle software, including cost and value reporting.
  • Expenditure Analysis: Ability to analyze and evaluate expenditure reports to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Subcontract Procurement: Experience in subcontract procurement, including contract management and payment applications.
  • Value Maximization: Understanding of how to maximize value and profit in commercial projects.
  • Commercial Administration: Experience in commercial administration, including contract management and cost control.
