Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Normanton, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for assisting in the administration, reporting, and performance on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in creating a safe working environment and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Utilize Oracle software tools to accurately report cost and value to the business unit.
- Interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems.
- Be involved in the procurement of subcontract partners, including preparation of bid enquiry documentation and critical evaluation of bids.
- Produce subcontract documentation and administer subcontract works packages.
- Apply the principles of 'Doing the right thing' in maximizing value and profit.
- Assist in the production and issue of commercial notices to clients and subcontractors.
- Collate and calculate information required to assist the commercial team in producing monthly payment applications.
- Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will have a solid understanding of commercial practices and procedures, as well as experience working with Oracle software tools.
