Key Responsibilities

The Vascular Care Pathway Administrator (VCPA) will oversee the monitoring of patient pathways. By collaborating closely with a diverse range of clinical and managerial personnel and delivering high-quality administrative assistance, the successful candidate will ensure that patients receive timely treatment and that national performance targets are achieved.

The ideal applicant will exhibit adaptability and be prepared to provide support during staff absences. This role is essential in delivering consistent assistance to our patients and clinical teams.

Job Responsibilities

Position Summary

To operate within the Clinical Support Team, delivering high-quality administrative services to designated clinical areas.

To ensure that RTT targets are met by monitoring patient pathways and addressing any issues that arise.

To arrange inpatient and outpatient appointments efficiently.

To manage vascular clinical correspondence.

Core Responsibilities

To provide administrative support to Clinical Teams.

To ensure that patient pathways are monitored to facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment, adhering to relevant RTT standards.

To assist the Service Manager in ensuring that all administrative processes are executed, including data collection and evidence gathering for pertinent national audits.

Qualifications

Education

Essential

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding of RTT.

  • Experience working within the NHS.
