Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vascular Imaging Specialist to join our collaborative team within the Vascular Imaging Unit (VIU). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in vascular diagnostics and a proven track record in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will conduct a variety of clinical assessments critical to the management of patients suffering from vascular conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing and interpreting Duplex ultrasound evaluations, including assessments of carotid and vertebral arteries, as well as upper and lower limb arterial and venous examinations.
  • Performing graft surveillance and monitoring for Aortic/EVAR procedures.
  • Conducting treadmill tests, pre-operative vein mapping, and post-operative evaluations.
  • Engaging in GCA scanning, TBIs, TCD assessments, and other specialized investigations.

Educational Background

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and ongoing professional development.
  • A recognized MSc/BSc qualification in a scientific discipline.

  • Accreditation as a Vascular Technologist with the Society for Vascular Technology (SVT).

Skills and Expertise

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of vascular surgical procedures.

Desirable Skills:

  • A keen interest in the management of arterial and venous disorders.

Professional Experience

Essential Experience:

  • Ability to interpret complex ultrasound data and produce detailed, accurate reports for clinical decision-making.
  • Providing expert advice that aids in the diagnosis and management of vascular patients.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students and healthcare professionals.
