Key Responsibilities

The Patient Journey Coordinator (PJC) will take the lead in monitoring patient pathways. By collaborating closely with a diverse range of clinical and managerial personnel and providing top-notch administrative assistance, the successful candidate will ensure that patients receive timely treatment and that national performance targets are achieved.

The ideal candidate will exhibit adaptability and be prepared to step in during staff absences. This role is essential in delivering consistent support to our patients and clinical teams.

Job Duties

Role Summary

To operate within the Clinical Support Team, delivering high-quality administrative services to designated clinical departments.

To ensure that RTT targets are met by effectively tracking patient pathways and addressing any arising issues.

To coordinate both inpatient and outpatient appointments.

To manage the processing of vascular clinical correspondence.

Core Responsibilities

To provide comprehensive administrative support to Clinical Teams.

To ensure patient pathways are monitored for timely diagnosis and treatment, adhering to relevant RTT standards.

To assist the Service Manager in delivering all administrative processes, including data collection for national audits.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding of RTT.

  • Experience working within the NHS.
