Job Summary
The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in Vascular to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the provision of high-quality vascular services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in the continuous provision of vascular services, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary team in the care of vascular inpatients and outpatients, providing expert clinical guidance and support.
- Participate in the department's audit and research programme, contributing to the development of best practices and evidence-based care.
- Undertake regular weekly ward rounds for inpatients, working closely with the consultant/registrar of the week on call team.
- Take part in a 1:6 rotation, including weekends, to ensure comprehensive coverage and continuity of care.
- Participate in the assessment of emergency patients in the accident and emergency department, providing timely and effective care.
- Participate in operating theatre/angiography suite sessions and outpatient clinics, contributing to the delivery of high-quality vascular care.
- Be prepared to commute between Northwick Park and the trust's other spoke hospitals as necessary, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Supervise and teach junior medical staff and students, providing mentorship and guidance to support their development.
- Adhere to the trust's Infection Prevention and Control Policies, maintaining high standards of infection control at all times.

Education
Essential Criteria
- MRCS or equivalent qualification.
Experience
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated 12 months' experience in vascular at ST3+ or equivalent level.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in vascular surgical specialty in the NHS.
Skills
Essential Criteria
- Able to formulate a working diagnosis, providing accurate and timely clinical assessments.
Desirable Criteria
- Able to perform varicose vein procedures, contributing to the delivery of high-quality vascular care.
