Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work within the Neurodevelopmental team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. We work with children and young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention.

We are looking for an individual who is interested and passionate about working with young people in a mental health setting. The team offers secondary aged Autism diagnostic assessments as well as individual work and working with young people's networks. We hope that the introduction of a SALT in our team will enhance the treatment offer which we are currently providing.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for the management of a specialist clinical caseload of children with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and co-morbid mental health needs. They will work independently with access to more senior colleagues as needed.

This post is suitable for a therapist with experience in the specialism or as a developing specialist post.

The post holder will play a key contribution within the ASD assessment clinics.
