This role presents a variety of stimulating and distinctive clinical and professional growth opportunities as you navigate through different areas within the pharmacy department.
Clinical Development Pathways
Our Pharmaceutical Clinical Specialists engage in comprehensive yearlong clinical rotations across a diverse array of specialties, which include, but are not limited to:
- Emergency and Urgent Care
- Neurological Disorders
- Transplant Medicine
- Surgical Disciplines, including Vascular and Gastroenterological Surgery
- Medical Fields, such as Renal and Respiratory Medicine
- Oncology, encompassing preparative services
- Infectious Disease Management
- Pediatric Care
- Critical Care
As a Pharmaceutical Clinical Specialist, you will deliver patient-centered care in your assigned area, collaborating closely with your local Lead or Advanced Clinical Pharmacist. By working alongside your pharmacy team and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will have the chance to enhance your specialty knowledge and service delivery.
Our Pharmaceutical Clinical Specialists are equipped to provide extended hours services to critical care and emergency departments. These services are essential for achieving national standards in medicines reconciliation and ensuring follow-up for the most critically ill patients, placing patient welfare at the forefront of our mission.
