Position Overview

People & Culture Consultant

Location: London

Working Hours: 37.5

Contract Type: Fixed Term - 12 months

The People & Culture Consultant will work closely with leadership to provide insights on effective practices that nurture and sustain positive relationships between the organization and its workforce, both on an individual basis and within teams.

Role Responsibilities

Your main areas of focus will encompass employee relations, managing minor organizational changes, and offering comprehensive advice related to People & Culture (P&C) frameworks and policies.

You will be instrumental in ensuring that the organization fosters a supportive and efficient work atmosphere, addressing employee concerns and advising managers on the implementation of effective P&C strategies.

Key Duties

  • Offer guidance on policies and procedures to management to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
  • Provide support and direction to managers during employee relations investigations and hearings regarding grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Assist in organizational restructuring and TUPE processes in collaboration with Employee Relations Center of Excellence
  • Engage with unions as necessary in partnership with Employee Relations Center of Excellence
  • Contribute to the promotion of best practices in people management, particularly in areas of equal opportunity and cultural diversity

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a comprehensive People & Culture role
  • Degree level education or equivalent, and/or CIPD qualified, or willingness to pursue CIPD qualification
  • Demonstrated success in advising and guiding management on various aspects of people management
  • Knowledge of UK employment law, basic understanding of TUPE, and experience with unions
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
