Job Title: Prosthetist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Prosthetist to join our team at the Transformation Unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality prosthetic care to patients with upper and lower limb amputations or deficiencies.

As a Prosthetist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care through appropriate professional practice, delegation, and supervision of junior staff.
  • Ensure appropriate prescription and treatment delivery based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care to meet patient needs.
  • Proactively manage risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety, and security legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Experience and knowledge of current prosthetic practice, including interactions between Allied Health Professionals and Medical Consultants in rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Systems.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrable comprehension of national and/or local issues affecting prosthetic services/provision.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in prosthetic rehabilitation, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of current prosthetic practice and quality assurance systems.
