Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team as a Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a talented team of professionals and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Main Duties

As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide assessments and interventions to heart failure patients. This will include holistic assessments, collaborative decision making, and supporting the provision of group classes. You will also work with patients to provide techniques to manage anxiety and develop strategies to improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessments and interventions to heart failure patients
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Support the provision of group classes and individual interventions
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of life
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist with a strong background in rehabilitation and cardiac care. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience of effective MDT working
  • Specialist knowledge and experience within rehabilitation
  • Knowledge of a broad range of clinical conditions and relevant current evidence-based practice
