Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE To assist Therapy professionals in delivering high-quality, holistic, person-centered care, enabling service users to achieve their full rehabilitation potential.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional needs of service users are met.
  • Provide support to individuals with cancer or other life-limiting conditions, focusing on those with specialized palliative or neurological requirements.
  • Actively promote and uphold the individual rights and choices of service users, ensuring their beliefs and preferences are respected.
  • Report any changes in treatment status or condition to the relevant Therapist promptly and assist in progressing treatment as directed.
  • When necessary, review, order, and fit equipment, guiding service users and their families in its safe use, whether in the facility or at home.
  • Assist service users and their families in completing necessary forms, gathering information, and coordinating interventions.
  • Support the Therapy Team with administrative tasks, including collecting referrals and recording monthly activity data.
  • Collect, organize, evaluate, and report information, maintaining accurate records of service users in both written and electronic formats.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the service by maintaining a safe working environment, upholding service user confidentiality, and occasionally undertaking additional reasonable tasks.
